Helping vulnerable families in winter (1/2)

Ali Muhammad is an 11-year old orphan living in Swat, Pakistan, with his mother, his sister and two brothers. In Swat, winter is a harsh season, bringing hunger and sickness along with its torrential rain and heavy snowfall, but Ali’s mother can’t afford to buy her children warm clothes and shoes. Ali’s mother and his elder brother work as a maid and a labourer, but their limited income simply isn’t enough for the family.

Warm clothes for orphans (2/2)

During winter, when Ali’s mother is forced to choose between providing her children with food or medicine, buying essential winter supplies is simply not an option. Thanks to the kindness of a donor, this vulnerable family received clothing to help them survive the winter, including shawls, sweaters, socks, gloves and shoes. It is this tangible compassion which will give Ali’s mother peace of mind until the spring.
